As the Lead UE Technical Artist for All of it Now, I had the opportunity to work on an interactive exhibit at Outside Lands '22 this year. For this booth, we were tasked with creating a full dance rhythm game.
My role involved gameplay design + programming, lookdev, 3D modelling a number of the props including the Drone + Flying Car asset, and assisting with final integration onsite.
We used UE5 on this project, which made the whole process easier by enabling us to create higher fidelity hard-surface models utilising Nanite, as well as being able to get amazing real-time lighting and GI with Lumen to support a full Day-Night Cycle for our gameplay.
Overall, super proud of the final product and it was great to see hundreds of people come and enjoy our work live. Thanks again to the whole team who put a lot of effort into making this all come together!
